MPI-OM

Max Planck Institute's most recent ocean general circulation model, the MPI Ocean Model (MPI-OM), is coupled to EHCAM5 using the Ocean Atmosphere Sea Ice Soil (OASIS3) coupler of the European Parameter Elevation Regressions on Independent Slopes Model (PRISM) model-coupling framework.

This coupled system has been used for the German Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) fourth assessment report (AR4) simulations and forms the physical core of more complex earth system models (ESMs).
